Re: Ukraine war thread
Oil Refinery Strikes: Ukraine continues to target critical energy infrastructure, recently hitting the Kirishi (2:43) and Yaroslavl (3:34) refineries. These attacks have significantly hindered Russia's ability to produce gasoline, causing nationwide fuel shortages (5:20).
Logistics and Warehouses: Ukraine is systematically targeting Russian logistics hubs, including Ozon and DNS warehouses (8:06), to disrupt military supplies. The video notes that these facilities often serve dual purposes for the Russian war effort.
Strategic Losses: The video highlights Ukraine's strike on an Engels air base, which damaged a rare TU-95 strategic bomber (12:07), further degrading Russia's long-range strike capabilities.
Internal Russian Turmoil: The video reports that over 100,000 Russian men have fled to Georgia (22:47) in anticipation of a potential new mobilization, while the fuel crisis worsens in major cities (5:20).
Humanitarian and Cultural Impact: The video discusses the tragic destruction of civilian infrastructure, including a book warehouse (26:20) and the Cortisia distillery (27:26), framing these actions as part of a broader campaign against Ukrainian culture and resilience.

BREAKING: Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is launching a campaign to block Russia’s airspace
“Today, we want to warn every airline that uses Russian airspace, every insurer, and everyone who still uses key Russian airports: Russian airspace is becoming completely unsafe.
When the US asked us not to strike Moscow and St. Petersburg, we paused — and we were attacked.
When our partners approach us for negotiations, we are ready to ensure Russian airspace is cleared for a certain period of time. But for now, while the war continues, Russian airspace is for Ukrainian drones, not civilian aviation.”
Shares of Russian airlines took a slight hit amid the latest news.

Germany confirms that Russia carried out a drone attack on Leipzig Airport last month.
Germany will close the Russian Consulate General in Bonn and the Russian House in Berlin, and restrict Russian entries. EU FMs will discuss new sanctions on Russia in person tomorrow.

Russia’s hybrid war against Europe is escalating fast.
A suspected Russian explosive drone was found deep inside Romania. Drones entered Estonian airspace, scrambling NATO jets. In eastern Germany, homemade rockets targeted a major power plant.
All this in just one day.

Putin refused to meet with the CIA director after learning the purpose of his visit to Moscow
The Russian president was initially prepared to meet CIA Director John Ratcliffe during his visit to Moscow on August 25 and had even set aside time in his schedule for it.
But after Putin was briefed on the contents of Ratcliffe’s message, the meeting was called off, a source close to the Kremlin told «Agentstvo».
According to the source, Ratcliffe came with a call to end the war as soon as possible, as the US side believes Russia’s military and economic situation is deteriorating.
In Moscow, Ratcliffe met with SVR chief Sergey Naryshkin and, according to Western media, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov. After one of the meetings, Putin was briefed on the contents of the conversation.
The «Agentstvo» source claims that the Kremlin reacted sharply negatively to Ratcliffe’s message: “It seems Ratcliffe got the wrong address.”
Officially, the Kremlin only confirmed that Ratcliffe did not meet with Putin, but that the president was briefed on the results of his talks with Russia’s security services.

Re: Ukraine war thread
The Incident: A drone equipped with explosives was discovered near a Ukrainian cargo plane and subsequently neutralized by a bomb disposal robot. A second object struck a cargo plane, causing minor damage (0:36-0:53).
Government Response: Germany’s interior minister, Alexander Dobrindt, raised the national threat level from "general" to "high," emphasizing that while Germany is not at war, it is a daily target of hybrid attacks (0:53-1:07).
Retaliation: In response, Germany has ordered several counter-measures, including the closure of Russia’s consulate in Bonn and a Russian cultural center in Berlin (0:06-0:14).
Attribution: German officials cite evidence from recovered drone remnants and investigative work by security services, which indicate a high degree of sophistication and operational methods consistent with Russian activities in the war in Ukraine (1:36-2:18).
Expert Perspective:
Correspondents and experts note that while naming Russia is a significant step, there is skepticism regarding whether these measures act as a sufficient deterrent against further hybrid warfare (4:17-4:42, 6:51-7:45).
Canada stands in full solidarity with Germany, following Russia’s hybrid attack at Leipzig Airport on August 4.
Attacking a Ukrainian cargo plane on German soil was an egregious attempt by Russia to weaken our resolve and our collective defence – and it will fail.

Re: Ukraine war thread
Putin likely can't even believe his own luck..
After countless acts of Russian terrorism all over Europe, they get caught red-handed trying to blow up a massive cargo plane in Leipzig and the Germans respond by closing a meaningless consulate.
And on the day of the "response", Russians try to blow up one of Germany's largest power plants.
Meanwhile, amid this incredible weakness, the pro-Russian AFD party polls #1.
Enough with Keir Starmer level of dithering leadership EU. Shit or get off the pot. If you value your lives then act like it. Russian assets that are frozen should be liquidated NOW.

For over 15 years I’ve said that Western leaders are afraid to acknowledge reality about Russian attacks because if they admitted the truth, they’d have to act. I was wrong. Even admitting the truth they won’t do anything to stop or deter Putin.
Europe bought a RECORD amount of russian gas in 2026. They funded this terror.

Re: Ukraine war thread
Drone Warfare: Ukraine's drone units have achieved record-breaking impact, striking thousands of targets, including tankers, energy infrastructure, and military assets (0:05-0:58, 1:28-2:07).
Russian Domestic Crisis: Russia faces severe nationwide fuel shortages, leading to civilian unrest and dangerous attempts to secure fuel (4:36-7:25). Additionally, there are reports of an impending mobilization due to heavy military casualties and a lack of clear strategic progress (15:44-18:19).
Escalation and Threats: Russia has increased the use of fast, jet-powered drones to terrorize Ukrainian cities, leading to near-constant air raid alerts (18:24-20:49). Meanwhile, some Russian officials are publicly calling for tactical nuclear strikes (13:25-15:03).
International Response: Ukraine has announced plans to de facto close Russian skies to commercial aviation to counter constant drone attacks (21:06-22:50). The video also covers Western and Chinese diplomatic dynamics, specifically noting China's lukewarm stance on Russia's requests for increased economic cooperation (26:45-30:05).
Human Impact: Despite the ongoing violence, Ukraine marked the beginning of a new school year, opening 25,000 schools under strict wartime safety protocols (30:06-31:37).
