After having his corporate offices searched last week and intense pressure from the NDP yesterday, Invest ALberta has quietly announced via their web page that Danielle Smith appointed board member, Sam Jaber, who was also Sam Mraiche's business partner is taking a leave of absence!

Government Overreach: The bill grants the Education Minister veto power over school board decisions, including naming schools, approving superintendent contracts, and determining the use of vacant buildings
Classroom Restrictions: Educators are required to "both sides" political and historical topics, and discussion of social or political issues outside of the formal curriculum is prohibited
Flag Policies: The bill restricts the display of flags in schools, limiting them to Canadian and provincial flags, while creating ambiguity around exemptions for other symbols like Pride flags
Mandated Patriotism: Schools are compelled to play the national anthem at least once a week
Expert Perspective: FA Johnstone of Queer Momentum notes that the bill serves as a "mislabeled neutrality law" that effectively silences discussions on identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion, equating it to "Don't Say Gay" legislation seen in the United States

The UCP are the leader in overreach. They seem to like losing suits in court.
