I have my doubts China is all that interested in Taiwan. Politically it suits them but in reality Russia is clearly on the menu. Smart munitions isn't an I win button anymore anyway. Way too expensive for the return, like a nuke. Regional belligerents, like Yemen, will be much more prolific over any trade rout they can pirate. This includes the North West passage. Our sub purchase was wise and overdue. We will stand on guard with beefed up security that is interlinked with long range radar from Australia and AWACS Global eye with allies that have our backs and a vested interest to have us on their side. China will be aiming to do the same in the Malacca strait which may look like encroachment on Taiwan but China knows it can just wait out Taiwan. The only chip they had in the game were the TSMC FAB's and they will be eclipsed by China as they will not be able to compete with the sheer volume China will be able to flood the market with. Once bankrupt, Taiwan will be begging China to rule them because by that time America will be in ruins and will not be able to bail them out let alone themselves.
