Tesla lost it's first in a market lead. Now China makes EVs better than anyone.
The only way NA and EU car companies can beat them is to do another 1980s Japanese Car invasion level re-invention of their businesses. Strip them bare, do a rethink and bring back the K-Car/Minivan equivalent of 2025.
Fuck the Hemi RedEye Hellcat Demon 1000hp beast that is basically useless for anything other than making heat from carbon. Make cars we can afford and find useful. Make a BYD Shark 6, but from Ford that doesn't cost $1200 to change the spark plugs and has a sunroof that lasts the life of the vehicle, not the life of the warranty.

With the tariffs and ending of EV mandates, Elon hopes the other US makers will stop or reduce EV production and he'll own the market.
Despite what the EV haters claim, EV sales are still growing. Dis-incentivising will only discourage more mass production and keep prices high.
