^^ Tldr Walsh thinks that as long as there are no overt laws on the books than systemic racism is done. It's the same as having someone with their foot on your throat holding you down is oppressive but if they take the foot off all is forgiven. Doesn't add up, you're still on the ground and subject to domination, there is no free will here. Kanye's 'slavery is the black people's fault' defence doesn't hold water.
